Written Test

Exam Pattern :-

Rajasthan Forest Guard/Forester Exam Pattern is as follows :

► The written test will be a multiple choice objective type.
► There will be a composite paper carrying 100 Marks / Questions.
► The time duration of Test will be 01:30 hours (90 minutes).

Rajasthan Vanrakshak Exam Syllabus will be as follows :

Everyday Science – Abbreviations, Units, Discoveries & Inventions, Measuring Tools, Material, Scientific Reasons, Differences, Making Decisions perspective to Science.

Mathematics – Number systems, Computation of whole numbers, Decimals and fractions, Relationship between numbers, Fundamental Arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ration and Proportion, Profit and Loss, Simple Interest, Average, Discount, Partnership, Time & Work, Time & Distance , Use of Tables and Graphs, Mensuration.

Social Studies – Nature of society, changes, development, importance, political aspects.

Geography – Geography of Rajasthan and India, area, map, population, water, resources, minerals, districts in Rajasthan etc.

History – History of Rajasthan & India, historical places, palaces, monuments, freedom movement, important dates and years.

Culture & Art – Culture, Art, Books, Paintings, Major Festival, Fairs.

Current Affairs – Latest Scientific Progress/Development, National/International Awards, Indian Languages, Books, Script, Capital, Currency, Sports-Athlete such as essential knowledge.

Physical Standard & Efficiency Test (PST & PET)

This test will be conducted for the candidates passed in Written Test. The candidates will be expected to have the following physical measurements :

Note:-

► सिट अप्स के लिए अभ्यर्थी अपनी पीठ के बल लेटेगा, टखनों को थामने के लिए सहारे के साथ उसकी टांगे पूर्णरूप से तनी हों और अपने ऊपरी शरीर को उठाएगा । उठते समय अपने शरीर को कम से कम 90 डिग्री तक उठाएगा । (शरीर को जमीन के साथ लम्बवत करते हुए) उसकी टाँगे उठनी नहीं चाहिए ।
► स्टैंडिंग ब्रॉड जम्प्स के लिए अभ्यर्थी स्थिर दशा (बिना दौड़ लगाए) से कूदेगी और कूदने के साथ ही साथ टेक लगाते समय दोनों टाँगों को साथ-साथ रखेगी ।
► उपरोक्त सारिणी में Sr. No. 4 से 7 तक प्रत्येक मद के लिए दो अवसर दिए जाएंगे । Sr. No. 3 के लिए एक अवसर दिया जाएगा ।
► शारीरिक दक्षता परीक्षण में सफल अभ्यर्थियों को 20 अंक दिए जाएंगे ।

Exam Syllabus :-

UPSSSC Vanrakshak Syllabus is given below :

Hindi Insight & Writing Ability – In this part, questions related to Knowledge of Hindi language and writing ability will be asked. Questions from this part will be standard of 12th class of UP Board or equivalent.

General Knowledge – This part of UPSSSC Forest Guard Exam question paper is to assess the candidate’s ability regarding general knowledge about his/her surroundings and about its use in society. In this test such a question which will be kept to check current events and everyday science and the facts of experience which may include historical and geographical facts. (Specially Related to India) and judged them to the knowledge of the scientific aspects, which can be expected of any educated person.

General Intelligence Test – The purpose of this is the ability to test the candidate’s understanding of a new situation, analyze and identify its various elements. Questions in this test will be based on the Understanding and explore instructions, relationships, similarities, consistent, conclusions and actions etc.

B. Physical Standard Test (PST) :

This test will be conducted for the candidates passed in Written Test & Interview. It is a qualifying nature test. The candidates will be expected to have the following physical measurements :

C. Physical Efficiency/ Endurance Test (PET) :

Those candidates who passed the Physical Standard Test (PST) will be expected to qualify this test :

► Race : It is expected from Male candidates to complete the race of 25 KMs in 04 hours with 10 Kilograms weight and Female candidates to complete the race of 14 KMs in 04 hours.
► This race is only qualifying nature.
► Hence, there will be no impact of PET on the merit list.

C. Medical Examination :

After qualifying all the tests, aspirants will be checked that they are medical fit or not as per the scale of Medical Test.

Written Exam (लिखित परीक्षा)

Exam Pattern:

The Exam Pattern Will be as Follows:

  • The Exam Will be Written Objective Type.
  • There Will be 100 Question in Exam. (Part – 1 (30 Questions – 120 marks), Part – 2 (25 Questions – 100 marks), Part – 3 (25 Questions – 100 marks) & Part – 4 (20 Questions – 80 marks))
  • Each Question Will be of 04 Marks.
  • The Time Duration of Exam Will be 02 Hours.
  • Question Paper Will be based on 10+2 Standard.
  • There Will be a Negative Marking of 1/3 Marks.
  • Question Paper Will be Bilingual i.e. Hindi & English.

Minimum Qualifying Marks –

  • General Category – Minimum 40% Marks
  • OBC – Minimum 36.5% Marks
  • EBC – Minimum 34% Marks
  • SC/ST & Female of all categories – Minimum 32% Marks

  • History of India and Indian National Movement. (6 – Questions – 24 marks)
  • Geography – Physical, Social, Economic Geography of Bihar, India and the World. (6 – Questions – 24 marks)
  • Indian Polity and Governance – Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc. (6 – Questions – 24 marks)
  • Economic and Social development – Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives, etc. (6 – Questions – 24 marks)

Part – 2 (25 Questions – 100 marks)

  • Basic numeracy (numbers and their relation, orders of magnitude etc.) – (Matriculation or equivalent level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc, – Matriculation or equivalent level) 3 (15 – Questions – 60 marks)
  • Logical reasoning and analytical ability. (5 – Questions – 20 marks)
  • General mental ability. (5 – Questions – 20 marks)

Part – 3 ( 25 Questions – 100 marks)

  • General science – (Matriculation or equivalent level) (20 – Questions – 80 marks)
  • General issues on Environment, Ecology, Bio – diversity and Climate Change – that do not require subject specialization. (5 – Questions – 20 marks)

Part – 4 (20 Questions – 80 marks)

  • Knowledge of Hindi language – The aim of the paper is to test the candidates ability to read and understand serious discursive prose, and to express his ideas clearly and correctly in the language.

Preparation of Merit :

  • Applicants for the post of Forest Ranger must have to qualify in Section A & B separately as per their category (UR/OBC/SC/ST etc.) minimum qualifying marks. However, final merit will be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks of both section A & B.
  • The merit list of all the successful candidates for respective posts shall be prepared separately on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in OnLine examination.

Delhi Forest Guard Syllabus is as Follow :

(A) General Intelligence & Reasoning :

It would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. This component may include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgement, decision making, Visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non- verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning etc. The topics are, Semantic Analogy, Symbolic/Number Analogy, Figural Analogy, Semantic Classification, Symbolic/Number Classification, Figural Classification, Semantic Series, Number Series, Figural Series, Problem Solving, Word Building, Coding & de-coding, Numerical Operations, symbolic Operations, Trends, Space Orientation, Space Visualization, Venn Diagrams, Drawing inferences, Punched hole/pattern–folding & un-folding, Figural Pattern– folding and completion, Indexing, Address matching, Date & city matching, Classification of centre codes/roll numbers, Small & Capital letters/numbers coding, decoding and classification, Embedded Figures, Critical thinking, Emotional Intelligence, Social Intelligence, Other sub-topics, if any.

Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidates general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of every day observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Policy & Scientific Research.

(C) Quantitative Aptitude :

The questions will be designed to test the ability of appropriate use of numbers and number sense of the candidate. The scope of the test will be computation of whole numbers, decimals , fractions and relationships between numbers, Percentage. Ratio & Proportion, Square roots, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Partnership Business, Mixture and Allegation, Time and distance, Time & Work, Basic algebraic identities of School Algebra, Graphs of Linear Equations, Triangle and its various kinds of centres, Congruence and similarity of triangles, Circle and its chords, tangents, angles subtended by chords of a circle, common tangents to two or more circles, Triangle, Quadrilaterals, Heights and Distances, Histogram, Bar diagram & Pie chart.

(D) English Language & Comprehension :

Questions in this components will be designed to test the candidate’s understanding and knowledge of English Language and will be based on spot the error, fill in the blanks, synonyms, antonyms, spelling/detecting mis-spelt words, idioms & phrases, one word substitution, improvement of sentences, active/passive voice of verbs, conversion into direct/indirect narration, shuffling of sentence parts, shuffling of sentences in a passage, cloze passage & comprehension passage.

(K) General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability :

The syllabus of General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability includes questions of both verbal and nonverbal types. Test may include questions on analogies, similarities, differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship, concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series etc

(L) Arithmetical & Numerical Ability :

The test of Arithmetical and Numerical Abilities will cover Number Systems including questions on Simplification, Decimals, Fractions, L.C.M., H.C.F., Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Menstruation, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Tables & Graphs etc. of 10th level.

(M) Hindi / English Language & Comprehension :

In addition to the testing of candidate’s understanding and comprehension of the English and Hindi Languages, questions on its Vocabulary, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms and its correct usage etc. would also be covered.
